Peter S. Cartwright
Peter Cartwright, PE, President of Cartwright Consulting Company, entered the water purification and wastewater treatment industry in 1974 and has had his own consulting engineering firm since 1980. He has a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota (1961) and as a registered Professional Engineer in that state, has provided consulting services to more than 250 clients globally. Cartwright’s expertise includes high-technology separation processes such as RO, UF, MF, UF electrodialysis, deionization, carbon adsorption, ozonation and distillation. He has authored over 300 articles, written several book chapters, presented over 300 lectures in conferences around the world and is the recipient of several patents. Cartwright also provides extensive expert witness testimony and technology training courses. A founding member of the Technical Review Committee for
Water Conditioning & Purification International magazine, he is also on the Editorial Advisory Committee of
Industrial WaterWorld magazine and is on the Editorial Advisory Board for
Filtration News. Cartwright, a recipient of both the Award of Merit and Lifetime Member Award from the Water Quality Association (WQA), was the 2016 McEllhiney Distinguished lecturer for the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) Research and Educational Foundation and presented over 35 lectures throughout the world on groundwater contamination mitigation. Previously, he was Technical Consultant to the Canadian Water Quality Association. Cartwright holds membership in the American Filtration Society, American Society of Plumbing Engineers, NGWA, WQA and other related organizations.
