Spring Advice from the Groundwater Foundation

What’s keeping you busy this spring? Now is a great time for spring cleaning, including important maintenance of wells and septic systems.

  • If you have a private well, click on the link for information about an annual well inspection. Make sure it’s operating properly, prolong its life, and protect groundwater and your health.
  • If you have a septic system, spring is also a good time to make sure it’s in good working order, preventing expensive repairs, sewage backups, and groundwater contamination.
  • Make plans to celebrate Earth Day on April 22.

The Groundwater Foundation is seeking abstracts for its upcoming National Conference in Boise, ID, October 24-26. The submission deadline is April 7. Share information and inspiration for innovative and effective approaches to groundwater management to help attendees tackle the issues they face in their communities, including:

  • Case studies
  • Applied practices
  • Evolving research
  • Innovative solutions

Potential speakers should submit a 250-word abstract for review. Presentations should focus on research and real-world experiences, solutions, tools, resources and practices that lead the way to groundwater protection and conservation. No product/service sales pitches will be accepted.
