Several events of note are planned. The 2nd Annual ACE Pedal With Purpose will be held Sunday, June 19. The first ride will begin at 9:30 am and the second ride at 1:30 pm. They will be held at Bobby’s Bike Hike, 540 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL. To register or if you have questions, please call (773) 878-0533. This event is open to the general public. The Public Officials Breakfast & Caucus is part of a broader public officials program that includes 12 hours of certificate training. Those wishing to register for the Public Officials Breakfast and Caucus and/or the Public Officials Certificate Program may register online or on-site at the registration desk at the Conference. Only registered ACE16 attendees may participate in the public officials events.
AWWA will host its annual Career Center Job Fair on June 21 from 2:00-5:30 pm. In addition, one of North America’s foremost risk communications experts, Dr. Randall Hyer, will gather with public officials overseeing water on June 21 to share science-based approaches for communicating about lead in the aftermath the Flint, MI incident.
