The launch edition of the new Aquatech Mexico exhibition attracted an overwhelming visitor audience of 5,333 on a sold-out show floor. Advance registration numbers had indicated the show was on course for a fantastic start and final figures confirmed this. Some 140 companies from around the world exhibited. Access for visitors to the latest technology and service offerings on show in the exhibition area was complemented by a two-day International Conference Programme covering key themes such as regulation, reuse, efficiency and good practice, as well as international innovation and experiences. The opening day featured a keynote presentation by Special Envoy for International Water Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Henk Ovink. Aquatech Mexico will return annually to Mexico City. The next edition, which allows for a 30-percent space expansion, is set for September 5-7. Over 60 percent of the expanded show floor is already re-booked.
