Viatran Corp., of Grand Island, N.Y., has launched the WW517 submersible pressure transmitter for wastewater applications. It’s a 316L liquid level transmitter with a 3″-diameter, opened-faced, Teflon-coated sensor. It’s designed for instances when the media is “chunky.?? It was officially launched at last year’s WEFTEC show. The new design helps stop clogging. Large particles can plug standard submersible transmitters, causing the sensor to fail. The new design stops this from occurring.
