Markel Corporation has created materials enhancement process by which fluoropolymer resin is blended with an inert inorganic filler to greatly enhance the ability of the resin to transfer heat between two liquids. Extruded HHTT™ High Heat Transfer Tubing, the resultant product, has up to three times the thermal conductivity of the natural resin. Future Markel plans are to offer a molding-grade resin to component manufacturers for the supply of compatible molded fittings and other parts.
