Hawk introduces the HawkLink interface to communicate with its devices via cell phone networks or the Internet. Units collect input from sensors and switches and then relay them to the company’s central server. Connections can be made via cell phone networks or over the Internet. The system can transfer data in both directions, so technicians can also change the calibration and set points on the devices. When connecting, the devices can communicate using the CSD protocol over GSM and CDMA cell phone networks. When connecting via the Internet, the unit can use the GPRS protocol (TCP/IP) over a GSM
