Due to unforeseen circumstances, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO^®) has changed the venue for its 2017 Annual Education and Business Conference (to be held September 24-28) to the Hotel Captain Cook and the William Egan Convention Center, both located in Anchorage, AL. While some events will be held at the hotel, several others, including the Technical Meeting Convention, will be held at the Egan Convention Center. In late March, registration will open for this event. The 2016 editions of the California Plumbing Code (CPC^®) and California Mechanical Code (CMC^®) went into effect on January 1. They represent the most current approaches in the plumbing and mechanical fields. These codes are embedded with the 2015 editions of the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC^®) and Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC^®) with the California amendments. They mark the fifth editions developed under the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) process.
