John H. ‘Jed’ Roth, founder of Water Techniques, died unexpectedly on January 14 in Tustin, CA. Born in Danbury, CT on July 26, 1961 and raised in Brookfield, he was the son of Bonnie Bell Roth and Jack Roth. After attending Brookfield High, where he was in the National Honor Society and a star on the wrestling team, Roth went on to graduate from Babson College in Wellesley, MA with a degree in entrepreneurial studies. In southern California since 1989, he was formerly the CEO of Water Techniques, the company he founded, specializing in water treatment for residential and industrial applications. An avid mountain biker and motorcyclist, Roth was active in several organizations promoting entrepreneurship and business management. In addition to his parents, Bonnie Bell of Irvine, CA and Jack Roth of Fort Lauderdale, FL, he is survived by brothers Mark Sudbury, MA and Barron of Ft. Lauderdale, as well as several nephews.
