Kevin McCray, CAE, announced he will retire as the National Ground Water Association’s (NGWA) CEO effective December 31, 2017, after more than 34 years of combined employment by the association and its subsidiaries, including more than 20 as CEO. Board President Jeffrey Williams, MGWC, CVCLD, noted the search for a new CEO will begin in the first quarter of 2017—NGWA is not, however, currently accepting resumes and is not taking calls or emails about the position at this time. The association’s Awards Committee has confirmed the 12 recipients of its 2016 NGWA Distinguished Partner Award. Manufacturers Division Partners are: Jet-Lube Inc. and SEMCO Inc. (revenue < $1 million); Taylor Industries and Wyo-Ben Inc. (revenue $1 to $5 million); Baroid Industrial Drilling Products and Star Iron Works Inc. (revenue $5 to $15 million); Baker Water Systems and Roscoe Moss Co. (revenue $15 to $50 million) and Franklin Electric and Goulds Water Technology, a Xylem brand (revenue > $50 million). In the Suppliers Division, Gicon Engineered Pumps and Preferred Pump & Equipment shared the honors.
