The Water Quality Association (WQA) has expanded the scope of a key industry standard for sustainable water treatment products. The WQA/ASPE/ANSI S-803: Sustainable Drinking Water Treatment Systems standard, which originally covered only filtration products utilizing activated carbon, polypropylene, polyethylene and string-wound filter media, now also encompasses UV treatment systems and dispensers, including water coolers and heaters. The S-803 standard is currently the only sustainability standard in existence that applies specifically to drinking water treatment systems.
