Imbeault named Waterite area manager
Waterite Technologies, Inc. has named Mario Imbeault to the position of Eastern Area Manager, effective immediately. He will be responsible for sales in the Quebec and Maritime regions for all company product lines. Imbeault brings to Waterite many years of technical and sales management experience in the filtration and water products distribution business. Since 1995, he has worked with Industrial Filter Manufacturing and Pro Filtration in a sales administration capacity in both Ontario and Quebec. Imbeault will be based in the Montreal branch office.
Messana, Kearbey named to Wilo team
Wilo USA named Samuel D. Messana as National Sales Manager–Building Service and Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast. He will be responsible for directing, managing, implementing and driving Wilo sales strategies. With more than 20 years of experience as a hands-on sales and product marketing executive, he has a strong background in the global pump, hydronic and the OEM marketplace. Previously, Messana was OEM Sales Manager for Watts Regulator, developing strategic plans and new products for OEM customers and meeting sales revenue targets. He also served as National Account Sales Manager, Western Regional Sales Manager and Product Manager for Armstrong Pumps, Inc. Wilo has also welcomed Eric Kearbey as Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Water Management. A former Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Ekato Corporation, he has 17 years of experience in the chemical, pump and industrial markets. Kearby holds a BS Degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri.
WEF 2014-2015 Board of Trustees announced
The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announced the members of its 2014-2015 Board of Trustees. In addition to incoming President Ed McCormick, the 2014-2015 Board of Trustees includes Immediate Past President Ralston; PresidentElect Paul Bowen; Vice President Rick Warner; Treasurer Ralph Exton; Secretary and WEF Executive Director Eileen O’Neill and Trustees Charles Bott, Jenny Hartfelder, Jackie Jarrell, Tom Kunetz, Garry Macdonald and Erin Mosley.
Nine to receive NSPF scholarships
Six students who are pursuing higher education around the US in a variety of subject areas have been named to receive National Swimming Pool Foundation scholarships. Alexandra June Adams, Central College, received the P. Cory Willis Scholarship for $1,000; Roxanne Klemm, St. Catherine University, was awarded the D.J. Wright Scholarship for $1,000; Kassidy Marie Kohout, University of Wisconsin-Platteville, received a Board of Directors Scholarship for $2,000; Summer Olson, University of South Dakota, was also awarded a Board of Directors Scholarship for $2,000; Karian Tjader, College of Lake County, was recipient of the Phillip Sperber Scholarship for $1,000 and Brittany Catherine Viboch, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, was awarded the William Rowley Scholarship for $1,000. The NSPF® Fellowship Program awarded $6,000 to three doctoral students who are performing risk reduction or health-benefit research related to aquatic activities and/or venues such as swimming pools, spas/hot tubs, therapy pools and waterparks. Adam Bradley Katchmarchi is a doctoral student in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. Talin Louder is a Presidential Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation at Utah State University, in Logan, UT. Katarzyna Ratajczak is a research investigator and Junior Lecturer at the Poznan University of Technology in Poznan, Poland.
New CA-NV AWWA Board of Directors Chair named
The California-Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association (CANV AWWA) named Sue Mosburg Chair of its Board of Directors during their annual fall conference. Mosburg, who previously served as Chair-elect, began her career in the water/wastewater industry at the City of San Diego’s Water Department, where she worked on the docks, scrubbed boats and assisted fishermen. With over 30 years in the industry, she has risen through the ranks to become a program manager at Sweetwater Authority where she is responsible for risk management, employee development, water-use efficiency and school education programs. Mosburg has also served on many CA-NV committees including the CA-NV Section Governing Board, Water Use Efficiency Committee, Workforce Development Council, Emergency and Security Preparedness Committee, Business Division and several others.
