Vacuum leak tester

Aquatyzer Engineering has patented a vacuum leak tester, PolyCHEK”, which is faster and less damaging to PC bottles than standard pressure testing models. The PolyCHEK was designed at the request of a client who wanted to reduce exposure to litigation from customers who came home to find their floors damaged. Since the advent of PC bottles in the 70s, leakers have become an expense that bottlers have had to live with. There is no argument that PC bottles have been a wonderful improvement over glass; however, the stress of pressurizing plastic during the filling operation allows micro cracks to form at the stress concentration points. Because the system works by vacuum there is far less stress on the bottles. At the same time it discovers holes less than ½ millimeter in size.
